Each of US…

by Misti Binns

One sits and ponders; another rises to serve.

One fears she has given too little, another she was never enough.

One rests in solitude, grateful for the quiet.

Another feels solitude pressing against the fragile walls of her soul.

One listens to laughter echo through the room. Another fears laughter has fled.

One inhales as her hands mix love.

One exhales as the door shuts behind what she lost.

One grabs a broom; one grabs a baby for comfort; the other grabs for her sanity

with trembling fingers.

One speaks boldly of days before and after; another lifts empty hands, begging God for clarity.

One sees beauty shimmering in the ordinary; another sees the weight it delivers.

One sits while another stands.

One sleeps while another works.

One cries and still another rejoices.

One holds on while one must let go.

One sees clearly, while one overlooks.

One heartbeat continues and another’s fades.

Here we are dear ones…each on a journey.

Each with a purpose.

So, wherever you find yourself…serving or sitting, weeping or laughing, breaking or being rebuilt

inhale… now exhale!

Dear one.

Rejoice!!

That is the very breath of God.

He himself gives life and breath to everything, and He satisfies every need

Acts 17:25(b)
